Oriflame has several facial kits targeted for specific skin types. So I decided to purchase the pure skin facial kit for oily to combination skin. This kit is meant to solve oily skin problems like excess sebum, acne and blackheads.
WHAT IS IT?
This is a facial kit consisting of several products. The key ingredients of these products are tea tree and rosemary. All the products are to be used in combination to treat and hydrate oily skin.
The kit consists of:
- A face wash
- 1 tube of facial scrub
- 1 small tub of hydrating cream
- A tube of facial mask
WHO SHOULD USE IT?
Anyone with oily to combination skin type can use this facial kit. It claims to fight acne as well.
DID IT WORK?
Well, each product present in the kit is supposed to contain tea tree oil and rosemary.
Now these ingredients are supposed to be anti-bacterial in nature which may help with acne and dirt present on the skin.
The face wash smells very strong and medicinal. This could be due to the tea tree oil. However, it does a very good job at5 cleaning the face and leaving it shine free. It does not lather very well so wet your face appropriately while before using it.
The exfoliator or the facial scrub consists of many tiny granules which do not seem too abrasive. The fragrance it quite strong. The scrub removes surface blackheads very effectively but the deep rooted whiteheads do not come out completely.
After the scrub, I use the hydrating cream. I massage this onto my face for at least 10 minutes or until it gets completely absorbed and then I wipe it away with a wet tissue. The cream is very hydrating and quite oily.
After wiping away the cream, I apply the face mask and let it dry. It is to be washed with plain water after it has completely dried. The mask is green in colour and has a mild fragrance.
After using the kit for the first time, my skin was deeply cleansed and felt very soft. However, it does not work very well for keeping the shine at bay.
WOULD I REPURCHASE?
Only the face wash, because the rest of the products will last you longer.
