Royal Enfield has launched the 2018 Himalayan Sleet edition in India. The price of the said model is kept at Rs 2.12 lakh (on-road, Chennai). Having said that, the new Himalayan Sleet edition is Rs 28,000 expensive than the regular model. The new 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet is limited for sale to just 500 units. The bookings for the 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet edition can be done online exclusively at the company’s official website by paying a token amount of Rs 5,000. Since the Sleet edition will be sold on an exclusive and first-come, first-serve basis, interested buyers will have to first register at the company’s official website between 12th January and 30th January. After that, the motorcycle will finally go on sale on 30th January. One of the most prominent changes on the new 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet edition is the new camouflage paint scheme, the images of which had already leaked on the internet earlier. Under the new paint scheme, the adventure tourer gets a white colour with portions of grey.
The new 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan Sleet edition is not just limited to cosmetic update. The bike gets an additional explorer kit in favour of long-distance touring. This new kit includes aluminium handlebar with bar end weights and cross-brace and an engine guard with powder coating finish. Besides, there is also 26-litre waterproof aluminium panniers and pannier mounting rails on offer that enables the rider carry his belongings on long rides.
