USING INTIMATE WASH AS FACE WASH
The reason why people claim this works is because the intimate wash is supposed to contain less chemicals and mild ingredients. Intimate wash gels are specifically meant for sensitive areas and do not cause any irritation. So it can be assumed that it would work for the face.
On trying this hack, I felt that my skin did not get dry as it used to after washing the face with a normal face wash. Now I know girls will just go –ewwww! But think like a human. It’s actually just mild soap you can put anywhere. It does not have any questionable ingredients. And it worked. It would work better for people with dry skin.
APPLYING ROLL ON DEODORANT BEFORE GOING TO BED
So the hack is that you apply roll on deodorant on your armpits right after having a bath at night. This is supposed to control sweat production and reduce body odor.
And this hack actually works! It really does control the sweat and its smell. You can apply this the next Morning also, after having a bath of course. It is actually very good for people who perspire a lot.
This is not exactly a hack, it’s more like a washing routine. But since it is quite different from the normal routine, I decided to include it. In co washing, you clean your hair using a conditioner only. The shampooing is completely eliminated. This routine is considered good for dry and unruly hair because it preserves the moisture in them.
However, I did not notice a significant improvement in my hair. In fact, my hair felt oily and sticky soon after drying. Here is the thing- this technique will not work if you have the habit of oiling your hair (because a conditioner cannot get it off). Also, it may cause build-up of products on your scalp. If you use serums or gels or hair spray, then co washing will not suffice.
BABY POWDER INSTEAD OF DRY SHAMPOO
This hack is for making greasy hair look fresh without using dry shampoo. All you have to do is apply some baby powder on to the scalp and work it in. make sure you dust off the excess powder otherwise it will show. Then you have to let the powder absorb the oils or sebum for at least a few hours before stepping out.
Baby powder does make the hair seem fresh. It does not completely get rid of the oiliness. But it is a cheaper alternative to dry shampoo and is pretty decent at getting the job done. However, you need to cleanse your hair thoroughly in order to remove the powder and not use too much if you have jet black hair.
